- Common Fault Symptoms & Motherboard Diagnostics:

  * Zero Current / No Charging (0.00A on USB Tester):

    - Charger is plugged in, but ammeter registers 0.00A or stops at 0.05A. The charging logic or input OVP stage inside S2MU106X01 is open or blown.

  * Fake Charging (Percentage Stuck or Drops):

    - The lightning bolt and battery charging ring animation appear on screen, but the battery percentage does not rise even after hours, or drops during use.

  * Temperature Error Warning (Yellow Triangle):

    - Phone displays "Charging paused: Battery temperature too high / low" immediately upon connecting the charger, caused by damage to the internal NTC sensing circuit inside S2MU106X01.

  * Dead Phone (No Power / DC Supply Hangs at 0.02A–0.05A):

    - Phone completely dead (very common in Samsung A30 and A50). Pressing the power key registers a low static freeze on the DC supply because the VSYS / VPH_PWR rail generated by S2MU106X01 is missing or collapsed.

  * Excessive Board Heating Near Charging Area:

    - S2MU106X01 gets burning hot to touch immediately after plugging in the USB cable or battery, caused by an internal short circuit across the main switching buck coil or input capacitors.
