- Common Fault Symptoms & Motherboard Diagnostics:

  * Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Greyed Out (Not Turning On):

    - Tapping the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth toggle in Android settings freezes on "Turning on..." or immediately switches back to OFF. Caused by internal circuit breakdown or cracked solder pins under MT6627N.

  * Weak Wi-Fi Signal / Dropouts:

    - Phone detects Wi-Fi only when placed adjacent to the router; moving a few feet away causes the signal to disconnect. Caused by a blown internal Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) or damaged WLAN_RF input pin.

  * GPS Location Failure:

    - Navigation applications continuously display "Searching for GPS" and fail to acquire satellite locks.

  * Standby Current Leakage & RF Shield Heating:

    - Phone drains battery rapidly when idle and gets warm around the Wi-Fi shielding section, caused by a partial short on the 1.8V VIO or 3.3V VDD_WIFI power lines.

  * Soldering Rework Notice (QFN-40 Package):

    - Unlike standard ball-grid array (BGA) chips, the QFN-40 package features perimeter lead pads and a large solid center ground pad. Use moderate hot air (310°C–330°C) with flux to ensure the center pad solders flat without excessive solder paste bridging adjacent signal pins.
