Usage:
- Dual-Cell Fast Battery Management: Regulates high-speed charging in devices utilizing 2-cell series battery configurations (7.4V to 8.8V total nominal/full charge), converting variable PD adapter voltages down or up to the exact battery chemistry requirements.
- Target Devices & Compatible Models:
* Huawei / Honor: Huawei Nova 8 Pro, Nova 8, Honor V40, Honor 50 series (66W dual-cell charging architectures)
* Realme / Oppo: Realme GT Neo 2, Realme GT series, Oppo dual-cell SuperVOOC platforms
* Tablets, high-wattage gaming smartphones, and portable dual-battery multimedia devices.
- Common Fault Symptoms & Motherboard Diagnostics:
* No Charging / Dead Charging: USB ammeter remains static at 5V 0.00A or draws minimal baseline current (0.10A–0.20A) without increasing battery percentage.
* Fast Charging Not Triggered: Phone charges only at slow 5V 0.5A/1A and fails to negotiate 9V/12V/20V USB PD handshake due to faulty I2C communication or defective internal switching stages.
* Dead Phone (Missing System Bus): Failure in the NVDC power path circuit halts VSYS output, preventing the device from booting even with a known-good battery connected.
* Direct VBUS / VBAT Short Circuit: Internal breakdown of the integrated high-side/low-side MOSFETs causes a direct short across input filter capacitors or the dual buck-boost coils, causing bench power supplies to trip.
* Fake Charging / Inaccurate Battery Level: Damaged current-sense circuitry (IBM/IAM) sends erroneous ADC feedback to the CPU, causing frozen percentage readings or sudden power-offs under moderate loads.
